Mario Valdivia is a Madrid-born rider whose passion for BMX runs deep. What began with a simple Flatland video quickly became a lifelong obsession, shaped by countless sessions in the streets and parks of the city. Over the years, Mario has developed a riding style built on progression, creativity, and pure love for the sport.

He’s not only recognized for his clean flair whips, but also for throwing massive double backflips and his signature double flair, big tricks that have put him on the map at major competitions, including standout moments at FISE events.

With his natural energy, positive attitude, and constant drive to push his limits, Mario has travelled and ridden across Spain and beyond. Always searching for new spots, new people, and new challenges, he keeps progressing while spreading the same excitement and joy that BMX has given him.

WHY DID YOU START RIDING BMX?

I first got into BMX after discovering Flatland, and it immediately sparked something in me. I picked up my first bike and started riding wherever I could, learning the basics and getting hooked on the feeling of progression. Over time, riding at local skateparks and the spots around my city is where everything truly clicked for me where I really fell in love with BMX and everything that comes with it.

FAVORITE SPOT FOR RIDING BMX?

I’d say Eurocamp, since it was my first trip with my friends to ride BMX. And honestly, the friends I’ve made all over Catalonia (Spain) are a big part of why I love being out there so much.

WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO CONTRIBUTE TO BMX?

I want to share with BMX the same happiness it gives me when I ride. Thanks to this sport I’ve met my closest friends, traveled to new places, lived incredible experiences, and taken plenty of hits and falls along the way. I want to keep learning, not just new tricks, but also discovering new places and meeting new people.

WHERE WOULD YOU LIKE TO TRAVEL WITH YOUR BMX?

With my BMX, I’d love to travel all around the world and meet as many people as possible who share the same passion. But if I had to choose, Australia is my favorite place to visit.

What’s your favorite part from Erigen BMX?

I’ve got a few favorites, but Goopy Flangeless grips, the Ambassador fork, and the Flowegen Pivotal seat are definitely up there! they give me so much confidence for tricks, like holding the seat with my knees or doing superman seat grabs.
